How to Care for Your Natural Marble Surfaces

Natural marble is a porous stone, which means it needs a little more attention than engineered surfaces. With the right habits, however, it will age beautifully for decades.

Seal on installation and re-seal once or twice a year. Clean daily with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner — never use acidic, abrasive or bleach-based products, which will etch the surface. Wipe spills quickly, especially acidic liquids such as lemon, vinegar and coffee.

Use trivets under hot pots, and avoid cutting directly on the surface. With gentle, consistent care, your marble will keep its depth and lustre for a lifetime.
